Business cards for creative people

You may wonder why writers, musicians, photographers and artists should have business cards. Think about it. Writers give their cards to editors, publishers and agents. Photographers need them to make people know about galleries, conferences or photo shows. Artists use their business cards to make people interested in purchasing their works. And musicians can hand them out to fans, talent scouts or club managers. The difference between Business Cards owned by people from corporate world and creative professionals lie in design. Cards owned by writers, musicians etc. need to be more artistically designed. Photographers very often make their business cards work also as a mini-portfolio of their work. Thanks to that potential customers may see how skillful the photographer is. Musicians of course, do not try to stick an audio chip into the card. To create a lasting impression they include a photo of themselves. Artists usually use the entire back side of the card for the image of the type of work they do. Screenwriters very often place a still photograph from one of their movies on their business card. On the other hand copywriters usually pick a photo of a vintage typewriter. Creative professionals always want to make their business cards unique. They want to make people remember them through the cards they hand out. They have more freedom in creating business cards than corporate managers and sometimes those cards are masterpieces. But still they have to remember to include all the information that allow potential clients to reach them.
